Mrs. Cidney Balch
Funeral services were held yesterday in Santa Barbara for Mrs. Cidney D. Balch, 78, of Santa Barbara, a resident of Fresno until 1959.
She was born in Hanford, Kings County. She died in a Santa Barbara hospital after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband, Albert E. Balch, whose teaching career included schools in Coalinga, Centerville, Fresno, and Oakland. Mrs. Balch also had an extensive teaching career. Both retired in 1937 in Fresno.
Mrs. Balch was a member of the National retired Teachers Association and the California Retired Teachers Association.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, , , , ; a brother, William O. Dawson of Fortuna, Humboldt County; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Wood of San Jose, and two grandchildren.
Burial was in the Moutain View Cemetery in Fresno.
