Survivors include her companion, Arvie Harris; daughters, Tonya and Monica Dooms of Detroit; son, Russel Dooms Jr. of Detroit; mother, Armenthis Dawson of Moreno Valley; sisters, Carrie Thompson and Gloria Dawson of Moreno Valley; brother, Samuel Dawson of Moreno Valley; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
