Mrs. Rachel Porter Day, 93, of 23 Park Ave., Auburn, died Saturday evening. May 4, 1986, at her home.
She was born in Owasco, N.Y., the daughter, of Newkirk and Julia Bevier Dewitt. She resided in Auburn since 1930. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She is survived by: one son, Curtis Day of Auburn; one daughter Janet Day of Auburn; five grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the widow of Frank Day who passed away in 1963.
Funeral services will. be held Wednesday, May 7, 1986 at 2 p.m. in the Brew Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gordon Pearsall officiating.
Interment will be in the Lake Cemetery, Fleming, N.Y.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, 48 South St., Auburn. N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
