Elizabeth "Boots" DeLane Carter was born to Carrie and James Day in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on April 5, 1925.

She grew up and attended school in Paterson, NJ. She loved music, movies, and having great family gatherings. Many friends and family will never forgot 711 20th Ave.

She is survived by her husband of fifty seven years, Kenneth Carter; five children, Judith DeLane of Stockton, CA, Karen Stevens of Clifton NJ, Joseph DeLane of Orange, NJ, Cottrell (Robbie) DeLane and wife Barbara of Fremont, CA, Allan Carter and fiance, Sandy Grand Champs of East Orange, NJ and (her daughter from another mother> and Jamie Putus of Wyckoff, NJ.

She is survived by four cousins, Vernel Franklin of Dallas, TX, and Johnny Henderson of Absecon, NJ, Patty and Cheryl Crawford of PA, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great- grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and who all knew her.
