She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton D. Baker, and a brother, James E. Day II, and her parents, Charles E. and Patti Ann Day.
She was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College and taught school for several years.
She is survived by a niece, June Day Martin and her husband, Ralph; three nephews, Philip E. Day and wife Jean, all of Roanoke, Charles E. Day and wife Toshiko, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gary C. Day and wife Evelyn of DeFuniak Falls, Fla.
Graveside services will be in Evergreen Burial Park
