Florence M. (DeCastro) Cross, 90, of Enfield, Ct. passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Parkway Pavilion. Born in Newport, R.I. on August 7, 1924 daughter of the late Winfield and Anna DeCastro and a longtime resident of Enfield for 56 years. Before retiring in 1989, she was employed with the State Unemployment Office here in Enfield for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and a family birthday party, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, working in her garden, going on vacation trips, while enjoying solving jigsaw puzzles or word puzzles.

She leaves her daughter Shirley Ann Zorger, husband John of Gainesville VA., a son Lawrence Cross Jr of Enfield, a daughter Cindy Lou Bostick, and husband George of Enfield, a brother Winfield DeCastro Jr and wife Rita of New Bedford, MA., seven grandchildren John, Jason, Jill, Larry, Stephanie, Emily, and Eric; seven great grandchildren Dixie, Daisy, Travis Jr., Arianne, Kinsey, Noah, Conner, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence Cross, her daughters Wendy and Betty, sons Peter and LeRoy, and two sisters Winfred and Anna Briggs.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11:00 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapel, 48 Shaker Road, Enfield CT., and burial will follow at Hazardville Cemetery.
