The remains of Mrs. Alseen DeCosta, colored, who died at her home in Barclay, of typhoid fever, Tuesday, arrived in this city yesterday and the funeral occurred in the afternoon from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. Duncan. Mrs. DeCosta was born in this city in December 1833 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Florville.
She is survived by her mother, husband, three sons and one daughter; also two brothers and a sister.
