Donald J. Delaney, 86, formerly of West Onondaga Street, died Sunday at Birchwood Nursing Home in Liverpool.
A native of Jordan, he had lived in the Syracuse area since the 1930s. He retired in 1970 after 43 years as a chief inspector at Crucible Steel.
Mr. Delaney was a member of the Pastime Athletic Club.
Surviving are two sons, Donald J. of Weedsport and Stephen I. of Skaneateles; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Jordan.
There will be no calling hours.
