James E. Delaney II, 35, of South Onondaga, died Saturday, May 10, at his home. He was a member of the South Onondaga, Onondaga Hill and Howlett Hill fire departments. He was also a member of CNY Landscapers Assoc. and owner of J.D. Landscaping. Jim was employed by the town of Onondaga Highway Department. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Erica Jaeger Delaney; his sons, Matthew, 7, and Zachary, 5, of South Onondaga; his parents, James and Kathleen Schantz Delaney of Onondaga Hill; two brothers, Toby (Kelly) Delaney of Liverpool and Josh Delaney of Geddes; two nieces; and two nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Church, 4782 W. Seneca Tpke. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tpke., Onondaga Hill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Delaney Boys College Fund, c/o SECNY Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 15040, Syracuse, NY 13215.
