TROY, N.Y. - Mary Alice (Delaney) Bouchard, 81, of Troy, died peacefully Saturday morning, on November 7th 2015 at her home in Troy, N.Y.

She was born in Troy, N.Y., the daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Squillace) Delaney.

She graduated from St. Mary's Elementary School in South Troy in 1948, Troy High School in 1952 and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1956.

She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Delaney.

After graduating from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1956, where she was president of the student body, Mary Alice worked at Samaritan Hospital full time until 1960.

In September of 1960, after she had her second child, she worked private duty at Samaritan Hospital in order to raise her children.

In 1979, she began working as a nurse for the Norton Company in Watervliet, retiring in 1983.

While raising her family in Watervliet, she was involved in many organizations. She was a long time parishioner of Sacred Heart of Mary in Watervliet and a member of the Rosary Society.

She could be seen year after year working the Sacred Heart of Mary Harvest Bazaar and volunteering for assorted fund raisers.

She was a den mother and den mother coach for the cub scouts in Watervliet, N.Y. while her children were involved in scouting.

She was also a member of St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary in Troy.

Too, she was often seen working concessions stands and/or raffles at Watervliet Little League games in the early 70s or Catholic Central High School basketball games in the late 70s.

She resided in Troy, N.Y. in her early years and married a persistent "Bob" on June 14th 1958.

She continued to live in Troy until 1962 and they moved to Watervliet with her then family of four. While in Watervliet she perfected her carrot cake and swedish meatballs.

After raising her three children, she moved to Menands in 1984. In 1989 she and Bob built a house on Crystal Lake in the Adirondacks where they had many wonderful times with family and friends.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Troy, N.Y.
