He married Mary O'Brien on June 14, 1904, in Hamilton County, Ohio. (A copy of their marriage record is attached). He was widowed (divorced?) in the 1910 Cincinnati census, living in the household of his sister, Amelia (nee Devote) Becksmith.
In 1920 he was proprietor of the family's grocery store and living with the Becksmith family.
In 1930 both he and his sister, Margaret, were living with Amelia, widowed at that time.
He never remarried.
