Devoy (41), a career criminal and drug addict from Balbutcher Drive in Ballymun, was shot dead, murdered, by a Louth hitman on the orders of a drugs gang. Devoy was shot numerous times and his body dumped on the side of the road at Foxhill, Bohernabreena, Tallaght. He had been wearing a bullet proof vest when founde and Gardaí say he had feared for his life.
