OBITUARY

Brief mention was made last week of the death of Mrs. Elamae DeWert Godfrey at Kansas City. The following obituary has been furnished this paper for publication.
Elamae DeWert Godfrey was born March 2, 1893, at Montrose, Mo. She died December 10, 1921, at Kansas City, Mo. The funeral was held at the Bergman undertaking parlors, at 38th and Woodland Ave., Kansas City, on Tuesday, December 13th. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was made in Forest Hill cemetery.
The deceased leaves one son, Eugene; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred DeWert, of Appleton City; two brothers, John F. and Louis DeWert, of Kansas City; seven sisters, Mrs. T. H. Gentzel, Clinton; Mrs. Emma Estes and Mrs. Oliver Collinsworth, Kansas City; Mrs. Walter Cruse, Iola, Kans.; Mrs. W. L. Snodgrass and Mrs. Harker E. Russell, Okmulgee, Okla., Mrs. S. E. Kurman, Oakland, Calif.
She formerly lived in this city and is known by many readers of this paper. She was employed for the past three years as a milliner and designer at the Rose Shop, 32nd and Troost Ave., Kansas City.
