John DICKSON or DIXON was baptised at St. Giles' parish church in Camberwell and died in the old Newington Workhouse on about February 12, 1813 (of cause unknown). He was recorded as being buried (almost certainly without any gravestone) in the churchyard of the old parish church of St. Mary Newington on February 14, 1813. He had been married in that church 16 years earlier to Charlotte GOOBY. Two of their children and several of their gradchildren subsquently emigrated to Sydney, Australia, between 1830 and 1860.
