Lillian Dietz Stoppelbein, Of Charleston, SC, widow of William Evans Stoppelbein, died Feb. 25, 1997 in a Charleston, SC hospital. The Funeral will be 11:00 AM Fri., Feb. 28, 1997 in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion in Charleston, SC. Burial directed by Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Charleston. Mrs. Stoppelbein was born Dec. 17, 1919 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of Phllip Peter Dietz and Anna Feicht Dietz. She graduated high school in Milwaukee. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion. She was retired from the staff of Charleston Electric Co. Mrs. Stoppelbein served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II. She was a member of Charleston Electrical Contractors Association, St. Catherine's Guild at her church; she was a choir member and a member of the South Carolina Waterfowl Association and the American Legion Post 180 in Milwaukee, WI. She is survived by one son, ... two grandchildren, one brother, Alvin Peter Dietz of Harshaw, WI and one sister, Marie D. Kenast of Milwaukee, WI.
