Beloved Aunt, sister and daughter. She was born of Sicilian immigrant parents, raised in Bristol, Rhode Island and dearly loved her little town as she lived there all of her life. After the death of her mother Rosaria, she assumed the position of matriarch of the Digati clan. Anna worked for over 35 years as a clerk for the US Navy at the Naval Underwater Systems Center on the Newport, RI Navy base. She traveled extensively, both near and far, from Cape Cod to China. She truly enjoyed a good show. Her favorite performers were Liberace ("What an entertainer!"), Don Ho ("I love his voice!") and Frank Sinatra ("I saw him in Atlantic City when he was NOBODY!"). She enjoyed Broadway shows and day trips to the local casinos. Anna loved her family, loved fun, loved dogs (she doted on dogs of her own and every other dog she could find) and loved life. having never married and having no children, she treated her nieces and nephew as if they were her own. She was the last of the cool old broads from the martini jet set and she loved a good "Manhattan on the rocks". Her stories ranged from depression era childhood tales to meeting the New York Yankees in the early 50's. My Aunt Anna was an original gal and the quintessential Digati.
