Gilda F. Dix went home to her heavenly father on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 81.
Preceded in death by her parents Anastasia Watts Staes, James Watts, her son Paul Anthony Dix (Alicia-living).
Beloved wife of Elmo M. Dix, Jr., beloved mother of Pamela A., Michael J., (Darlene) and Jill M. Dix, sister of James Watts, Jr. (Yvonne), sister-in-law of Perry Stith, Marlene Dix, Eugene Dix, Judy Reddick, Donald Dix, Sr. (Mildred) and Lynn White (Isaac).
Also survived by her grandchildren: Michael Jr., Sherri, Keisha, Alexia, Maci, China and Shameka, great-grandchildren: De'Ja, Da'vid and Michael III, a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Preceded in death by her father & mother-in-law, Elmo M. Sr. and Amelia Dix, sisters-in-law Jacqueline Doyle, and Earnestine Dix, brothers-in-law Herbert Doyle, Richard Dix, Verlin Dix and Arthur Reddick.
Family, friends and parishioners of St. Gabriel are invited to attend the Christian Mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 4700 Pineda Drive, NOLA, on Monday, July 29, 2013.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. until mass time of 10:30 A.M.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, NOLA.
