Mrs. Dix, 84, of Colfax died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at Grant Manor Nursing Home.
She was manager of the J.A. Bentley Lumber Company boarding house at Zimmerman for many years. She also worked as room mother at Northwestern State University and at the Masonic Home for Children. She was a member of Colfax Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Smith of Gardner, Helen Richards of Colfax and Gracie Churchman of Sugar Land, Texas; one sister, Mertis Sharp of Columbia; 25 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon until 1:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
