Albert was first married to Emma Victoria Cretsinger, daughter of David Cretsinger and Susan E. Ribble, about 1909, in Guthrie County, Iowa. They raised two daughters and three boys. After Emma died, Albert remarried to Ethel Marie Martin, daughter of Benjamin Boone Martin (reported to be a direct descedant of Daniel Boone) and Rosa Belle Walker. He retired, and moved to Florida with Ethel to live the next 14 years of his life.
