STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Linda (Doll) Allen, 58, of West Brighton, died Thursday in the Verrazano Nursing Home, Tompkinsville, of cancer.

Born and raised in New Brighton, she also lived in Port Richmond and Mariners Harbor before settling in West Brighton.

She attended McKee High School and worked at the former Willowbrook State School. She later worked for the Stella Orton Home Care Agency, Oakwood, for 17 years.

In her leisure time, Ms. Allen loved listening to gospel music and spending time with loved ones. "She enjoyed being around her family," said her daughter, Chaunte Allen.

She was a member of St. Philip's Baptist Church, Port Richmond.

In addition to her daughter, Chaunte, surviving are another daughter, Lakysha; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by the Scamardella Funeral Home, West Brighton. The funeral service will be held tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Philip's Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Castleton Corners.
