Mrs. Anna D. "Bitsy" Clifton, age 89, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Bridge at Rockwood. She was born June 5, 1925 on the Liggett Farm in Cumberland County, Tennessee to John Nelson Donelson, Jr. and Jennie Edith Taylor Donelson.

Mrs. Clifton was a member of the Rockwood Church of Christ and the Crab-Orchard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Cumberland County, Tennessee. She was devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Eugene "Bill" Clifton; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include:Sons & Daughters-in-law: Dan & Susan K. Clifton of Louisville, TN David & Pat Clifton of Rockwood, TN Grandchildren: Michelle Clifton Kelley & husband, Troy of Rockwood, TN Mike Clifton & fiancé, Luv Curbow of Rockwood, TN Christy Clifton of Plano, TXKeith Clifton of Ft. Worth, TXGreat Grandchildren Tanner McGuireMichaela McGuireTrey Kelley And a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Minister Kirby Hinds officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillbrook Christian Camp.
