AUDRA ERROL YOST

July 17, 1939 - January 3, 2017

Audra Errol Donley Yost, a lifelong resident of (Jakes Run Community) Fairview, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Errol was born July 17, 1939 in Carmichaels, PA, to the late Frank B. Donley and Lucille Stevenson Donley. She was a graduate of Mapletown High School and Morgantown Beauty School. Errol retired from Monongalia County Board of Education having served as a cook at Core, Jakes Run, Morgan Heights, and Daybrook Elementary schools.

She is survived by Jerry L. Yost, her loving husband of 57 years, whom she married on June 20, 1959. She is also survived by two daughters, Leanne Yost Durst and husband Michael and Glenda Yost Cummins and husband Jess; four grandchildren Beth Durst Hutson and husband Andrew of Elkins, Michael Durst II, and Luke and Scott Cummins; and two great-grandsons, Spencer and Nikolai Hutson. Also surviving are two brothers, Col. David L. Donley Sr. and wife Mary of Belleville, IL, Rev. J. Edward Donley of New Philadelphia, TN, and a sister Beverly Donley of Morgantown, and a lifelong friend, Dr. Kathy Berky of Meadville, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

She is a forty three year member of the Monongalia County Farm Bureau. She worked together with her husband Jerry to fulfill his presidential duties for the Farm Bureau for 25 years. Errol was an active Farm Bureau Women’s Committee member who organized and created décor for many annual banquets and picnics. She attended the Miracle Run United Methodist Church for 39 years where she enjoyed singing in the choir, as well as serving as the treasurer for the church women’s group. Errol participated as an active Monongalia County 4-H leader, assisted her sister with teaching sewing classes and volunteered at a local florist.

Friends will be received at the Jakes Run Assembly of God Church, 1790 Jakes Run Road, Fairview, WV for visitation from 2-9 PM on Friday and from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service hour on Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. J. Edward Donley, Pastor Robert Bennett, Rev. Rose Saunders, and Pastor Jerry Teter officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennant Cemetery at Pentress.

The family would like to thank Dr. Andrzej Jaworski and his associates and Dr. John H. Lobban, the staff at Monongalia General Hospital, and Morgantown Hospice for their exceptional services.
