Cecily Douglas Baker, daughter of Donald Douglas and Gail Leamaster Douglas, was born on November 22, 1922 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles, California

Graduated Flintridge Academy in 1938 and the University of California, Berkeley, Magna cum laude, in 1942

Married Eugene Berkeley Baker III, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, on September 12, 1942

They were married for thirty-nine years, until his death on October 30, 1981

Curator, The Rare Book, Manuscript and Walter Annenberg Collections, The Charles Patterson Van Pelt Library, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. 1960-1985

Docent, The Huntington Library, San Marino, California, 1987-1998

Died on March 30, 1999 after a mercifully brief illness. Private graveside services were held on April 10, 1999. A memorial service and Dedication of the Eugene and Cecily Baker Memorial Window at All Saints Episcopal Church, Pasadena, California was held on November 22, 1999

Survived and deeply mourned by sons, Christopher Douglas Develin Baker of Los Angeles, California and Gregory Chubb Baker of Midland, Texas
