Ernest M. Downing, 61, a former resident of Chillicothe, died Friday in Doctor's hospital, Columbus, after several months illiness. Born in Clarksburg, he made his home in Chillicothe until he moved to Columbus.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Norman C. Smith of Chillicothe; two sons, Jack Downing of Columbus and Albert Downing of Chillicothe; his wife, Mrs. Bertha Downing, and four grandchildren.
Services were entrusted to Speary's Funeral Home of Columbus, Ohio.
