Permelia Downing was born in 1795 in CT, the daughter of Cyrus and Hannah Downing. The Downing Family came to Huron, Huron County (now Erie County), OH in 1809. Following her father's passing in 1812, she married Jeremiah Daniels in 1813 in Cuyahoga County, OH. Jeremiah and Permelia settled in Huron, OH. Jeremiah died about 1827. Permelia re-married to Isaac Allyn in 1827. Isaac took in her small children. The family moved to Riley Township. Isaac died in 1839. Permelia passed away in 1871.
