DOWNS, Christine Yvonne age 73, of Kettering passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Born on November 30, 1938 in Greeneville, Tennessee, to the late John F. Hawk and Jeanette Hawk Roselli. Christine was a 1956 graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton then took many classes at Sinclair Community College. She began her professional career in the executive offices of Carlson Marketing Group, formerly E. F. McDonald, where she was later promoted to management. She then worked for Dunnington and Klopfer in the accounting department and then at Prudential Residenz Realty. Christine was a member of Central Christian Church in Kettering. She loved ballroom dancing which is how she met her husband and best friend, Carl. Christine was known by all who loved her as a good cook and an inspiring woman. She was also able to find a 4-leaf clover anywhere she went. Preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Donald "Bud" Roselli; and daughter, Cindy (Neil) Brown. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 51 years, Carl Downs; daughter, Cheri (Larry) Kaczmarek; sister, DeLyla Sizemore; and nephews, Larry (Patricia) Sizemore and children, Phillip (Christine) Sizemore and children, and Chris (Janis) Sizemore and children. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 2, 2012 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering. Visitation will be following until 5:00pm also at the funeral home.
