Bellevue - Those who attended the vesper service at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon were delighted with the program which was rendered by the choir, Miss Esther Miller, organist, and Miss Helen Downs, chorister.
Members of the Winifred Dewey class of the Congregational church were pleasantly entertained by Miss Helen Downs and Mrs. A. C. Iloule, at the Y. W. C. L., Monday evening. A varied program was rendered. Refreshments were served.

Bellevue - One of the most delightful pre-nuptial affairs being held for the pleasure of Miss Helen Downs, whose marriage to Ralph Avery will be an event of June 2, was a miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. L. P. Oehm and Mrs. William Greenslade at the former's home on Northwest-St Tuesday evening, entertaining members of the Ohio club. A varied program consisting of musical selections and character readings were enjoyed by the guests. Little Bobby Boenrief entered the room with a pretty decorated wagon, laden with many beautiful and useful gifts for Miss Downs. A dainty luncheon was served by the hostesses, a unique color scheme of lavender, gold and white being carried out in the appointments and throughout the home.
