DOROTHY RUTH (DOTTIE) DAHL, 77 of Houston passed away peacefully at home March 28th surrounded by family. A member of Epi- phany of the Lord Catholic Church and of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 9182. She spent 17 years abroad with her husband raising her children in Holland, Switzerland, Canada, and Brazil. She is survived by Robert her loving husband of 57 years; 5 children, Robert B. Dahl, Jr., Penny Kephart and husband Mitch Gunderson, David Dahl and wife Fran, Kathy Martinez and husband Gary, Laurie Forrest and husband David Lima; and 10 grandchildren, Brian, Kevin USN, Nathan, Chris, Christi, Jaime, Kelsey, Michelle, Nicholas, Lauren, all adoring and devoted. She is also survived by sisters, Helen Brewer and Dianne Miller; sisters-in-law, Barbara Draves and Pat Shepner and husband Robert; lifelong friends Bob & JoAnn McKellar and Fr. "Mac" MacEachen; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Merle Draves; and brother, Robert Draves. The joy of Dottie's life was her family and friends. Her passions included her art work, cooking, gardening, ceramics, and bridge. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1st at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 1530 Norwalk, in Katy, with Rev. Msgr. Jack M. Dinkins, Celebrant. Pallbearers are from the VFW Post 9182. Interment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery
