Mrs. Henry Berth, 71, of 512 Mill St., Howards Grove, died Sunday evening at St. Nicholas Hospital after a lengthy illness.
The former Esther Drier, she was born May 9, 1900 in the Town of Herman, daughter of the late Louis and Jennie Quehl Dreier. She attended Howards Grove schools.
Before marriage she was employed at the H. C. Prange Co. here.
On Oct. 6, 1933, she was married to Mr. Berth. The couple resided in Millersville for 17 years before moving to their present home at Howards Grove.
Mrs. Berth was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herman, where she was baptized and confirmed.
Survivors are her husband; two brothers, George and Walter Drier, both of Howards Grove, and a sister, Mrs. Elmer Reichert, Johnsonville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral Home, Howards Grove. The Rev. Henry Juroff, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday, and until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Berth's name.
