Mrs. Cooney Dies At Home In Peoria.
Mrs. T. J. Cooney passed away at her home, 816 Goodwin street, Peoria Saturday morning, following an illness of two weeks with heart trouble. Mrs. Cooney was a former Bradford resident and moved away with her family about seven years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Cooney celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago.
Maria Driscoll was the daughter of Florence and Julia Driscoll and was born at Providence, Illinois, October 11, 1858, and had lived near Bradford for years, moving to Peoria from here.
Besides the husband, Thos, J. Cooney, she is survived by six daughters, Mrs. D. J. O'Brien, Mrs. J. R. Blaisdell of Bradford; Mrs. Frank McNultuy, of Greybull, Wyoming; Mrs. Walter Zerfas, Watertown, South Dakota; Mrs. Ralph Meyer and Miss Blanche Cooney of Peoria, and one son, James Cooney of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. J. P. Code and Mrs. P. W. McManus, and a brother, Florence Driscoll, of Bradford, and another brother, William Driscoll, of DesMet, South Dakota. Twenty-three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from Sacred Heart Catholic church in Peoria and burial was made in St. John's Catholic cemetery south-west of Bradford.
