Marilyn (Driscoll) Day, 84, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of South Grove Township near rural Kirkland, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, in Florida. Born Aug. 21, 1920, in South Grove Township, she was the daughter of Jesse and Edith (Allen) Driscoll. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Col. Stephen Day, (U.S. Army, retired); a son, William (Sharon) Day of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Sue (Roger) Fulton of Charlottesville, Va.; her twin brother, John "Pete" Driscoll; four sisters, Shirley Carter, Gladys Zimmermann, Wilma Kellogg and Carol Driscoll; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathaniel and Mark; a great-grandson, Aiden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters, Gertrude Butzow, Mabel Bailey, Vivian Willett, Virginia Woodward and Ruth Driscoll. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nancy Weingartner officiating. Interment will be at South Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Donations can be made in her memory to the Cape Coral Lions Club in care of Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178.
