Brenda Lee "Bear" Alcon, 39, of Pueblo, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord May 18, 2004. Born Sept. 22, 1964, in Pueblo, Colo. Preceded in death by grandparents, Desiderio Pacheco and Lucy and Gilbert Cordova. Survived by husband, Charles Alcon; and her beloved animals; parents, Norbert and Betty Duarte; siblings, Nadine and David Lucero, Mary and Mike Cadena, Vincent and Shelley Duarte; grandmother, Dora Pacheco; nieces and nephews, Renee Cadena, Joshua Madrid, Christopher Duarte and Santana Torres; also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends. Vigil service, 7 p.m. Friday, at Romero Chapel. Memorial Mass, 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Leander Church. Relatives and friends will be received at Romero Courtesy Hall after vigil service and at St. Leander Hall after Mass. Cremation has taken place.
