Jane R. (Dubel) Stouffer, 91, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Somerford Place in Hagerstown.

Born on August 5, 1922, in Benevola, she was the daughter of the late Alvey and Maude (Recher) Dubel. Her husband, Vernon L. Stouffer, preceded her in death in 1999.

Jane was a 1940 graduate from Boonsboro High School.

She was a very active lifelong member of Benevola United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being part of the "apple dumpling gang."

Jane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her home and her family.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald E. Stouffer and wife Sherry of Adamstown, Maryland, and Richard L. Stouffer of Aloha, Oregon. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Gwen Stouffer.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. John H. Dean will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Benevola United Methodist Church Cemetery in Boonsboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
