Edward Joseph Dubel, age 85, of Summerfield, passed away January 24, 2010 at Estelle's Hospice House, Ocala, Fl. He was born in Buffalo, NY. Edward was a veteran of the US Navy, and was a retired metallurgist for Braddock industrial gas company. He retired to Summerfield in 1985 from Allentown, PA. Edward was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends. Survivors include Rita Galuski, niece, Elma, New York; and Raymond Wielgosz, nephew, East Aurora, New York.

SUMMERFIELD — Edward Joseph Dubel, 85, died, Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.
Mr. Dubel was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to Summerfield from Allentown, Pa., in 1985. He was a retired metallurgist for Braddock Heat Treating; a Catholic by faith; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; and he enjoyed playing poker and horse races.
Survivors include his niece and caregiver, Rita Galuski and nephew, Raymond Wielgosz. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Davern Dubel; predeceased by siblings Bernard (Benny), Henry (Harry), Joseph, Anthony Dubel and Mary Wielgosz, Helen Ertman, Rose Best and Florence Shermet.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Friday, March 10, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, The Villages. There will be a gathering of friends from 11:30 am. until noon.
