Norma Dubel was born on July 25, 1939 in Tripp County, South Dakota the daughter of Milford and Reka (Schuppan) Farris. She graduated salutatorian from Colome High School in 1957. On September 21, 1957, Norma married James P. Dubel in Colome, South Dakota. She enjoyed being a cake decorator. Norma ran a daycare out of her home and took care of the elderly in their homes. She enjoyed making paper flowers and bouquets, playing bingo and attending church services. Norma also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Norma is survived by her sister, Maxine Harter of Sturgis, South Dakota; children: Chalene "Sheri" Smith of Gillette, Wyoming, Rebecca "Becky" (Brian) Kjensmo of Park City, Montana, James R. (Nancy) Dubel of Gillette, Wyoming and Larry Dubel of Gillette, Wyoming; 4 grandchildren: Zachary Dubel of Douglas, Wyoming, Christopher Dubel of Gillette, Wyoming, Amanda McRae of Gillette, Wyoming and William "Zack" Stevens of Gillette, Wyoming; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Richard Dubel.
Burial will follow in Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.
