DIES IN CHICAGO

The sad news comes from Chicago that Mrs. Phoebe Canaan of that city, a former resident of Kenton, who has a number of relatives here, had died yesterday after an illness of some months. Mrs. Canaan was the widow of Charles Canaan and resided in this city until about 16 years ago when the Canaan family moved to Chicago.
The remains will be brought to this city for burial arriving tomorrow morning. They will be taken to the home of a sister Mrs. William Vance on west Railroad street and funeral services will be held at the Epworth Methodist church in charge of Rev. Kelly Smith. Internment will be made in Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Canaan is survived by six daughters, five sisters, Mrs. (Sarah) Jackson, Mrs. Caroline Phillips, and Miss Hettie Ducker of this city and Mrs.(Mary)Vance of Fremont and Mrs.George(Margaret)Ogden of Portland Oregon, and by 2 brothers, Martin Ducker of Bellefontaine and John Ducker of Chicago. The children are Mrs. John Gosche (Evalena)of Alberta, Canada, Mrs.William (Cecil) Hanrahan and Misses Lou, Fannie, Mamie and Nellie, all of Chicago.
