Obit#1: Baker – Died, Saturday, March 13, 1909 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Scott W. Marshall, in Carrollton, Mo., Mrs. Polly Ann Baker of Salisbury, wife of the late O. R. Baker, at the age of 5 [53] years. The decedent had been visiting her daughter for several weeks and was intending soon to return home when she was suddenly stricken. The remains arrived in this city last night at 10 p.m. on the Wabash and were taken to Metcalf's undertaking establishment, from where they will be removed at 10:30 a.m. today to Salisbury, where the funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in Salisbury Baptist church, Rev. William F. Thompson will officiate. Interment in Salisbury cemetery. Born in Salisb[u]ry, Polly Ann Baker had resided there all her life. Her husband, O.R. Baker, was at one time treasurer of Sangamon county. She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Scott M. Baker [Scott W Marshall] of Carrollton, Mo.; Mrs. Eva R. Bettonton [Eva B. Batterton] of Petersburg, Ill.; Mrs. Ira F. Holte of St. Louis; Mrs. Minnie Hoag of Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs. Carrie B. Yoakum, Oklahoma; and one son, F. O. R. Baker. [March 15, 1909.
