Mrs. Dunlap, who was alone in the car, was returning to her home after taking dinner to her husband, Claud Dunlap, a supervisor at Falstaff Distributing Co.
The station wagon tore down 71 feet of bridge railing and hurtled 114 feet through the air before striking the bank of the river 30 feet below.
Mrs. Dunlap, an employee of Don Russ Candy Company, at 119 West Colorado, was born in Blytheville, AR and had lived in Memphis most of her life. She was a Baptist.
She also leaves five children, Joe Donald Dunlap, James Ronald Dunlap, Brenda Ann Dunlap, Patricia Lynn Dunlap and Sherry Dunlap, all of the Ridgecrest address; her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ennis of 890 Rutgers; two brothers, Herbert Davis of East St. Louis, IL and Harvey J. Davis of San Antonio, TX; and a sister, Mrs. Glen Andrews of Conway, AR.
