Certified nursing assistant Sandra Lee Dunlap Akers, 69, of Paris died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at her residence.

She was married on April 27, 1996, to Charles Akers, who survives.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Craig Peevyhouse will officiate. Burial will follow in Bevil Cemetery.

Chosen as pallbearers are Brian Milliken, Todd French, Michael Sommerville, Timothy Berry, Ricky Allen and Blake Jones.

Chris Berry will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Born in Henry County on Sept. 8, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lee Dunlap and Merle Scott Dunlap.

Akers worked privately as a CNA and at Henry County Healthcare Center.

She also leaves one daughter: Gina (Tim) Hudgins of Paris; two sons: Larry (Marsha) Milliken of Paducah and James D. (Cindy) Milliken of Paris; three sisters: Linda Berry, Brenda Lewis and Geraldine (Billy) Somerville, all of Paris;

Seven grandchildren: Brian (Susan) Milliken, Bonnie (Todd) French, Autumn Milliken, Megan Milliken, Monica Young, Lisa Wilson and Audrey Havener; six great-grandchildren: Blake Milliken, Ella French, Garrete Evans, Lakan Evans, Hailey Hixson and Hayden Hixson; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a grandchild: Robert Wilson; and a niece: Missy Bowers.
