Mary was born on Oct. 23, 1923, in East Bridgewater, Mass. She was the daughter of Romante and Albina (Barufaldi) Duranti. She was a graduate of Chapman Technical High School in New London.
Mary was an avid bowler and won many tournaments with the New London Women's Bowling Association and the California Women's Bowling Association when she lived in Felton, Calif. She also loved to swim. Mary was accomplished at crocheting and tatting and was known for making home-made pasta. She also was a very devoted grandmother and spent this past Thanksgiving sharing her recipe for tortellini with her granddaughters and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David Beauchesne of Marana, Ariz.; granddaughters, Allison Beauchesne of Balboa Island, Calif., Jessica Beauchesne of Chula Vista, Calif.; and daughter-in-law, Thu Pham of Alexandria, Va.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 33 years, Thomas James Andrelli. They were married in Waterford, on Sept. 27, 1947. She was also predeceased by her son, Nicholas James Andrelli.
A burial service for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. Patrick Cemetery on Depot Road in Uncasville. A gathering will follow at 295 Long Hill Road in Groton.
