Josie Dyer married Thomas Alexander Anderson, son of Daniel Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Cowley of Hiawatha, Kansas, in El Reno, Oklahoma on May 23, 1898. Daughter Mary Ethel Anderson was born January 11, 1900 in El Reno. Son Thomas Wilbur Anderson was born May 23, 1903 in Mexico City. Josie's brother, John Calvin Dyer, followed the railroad into Mexico and his daughter, Dorothea Mary Dyer was born in Mexico City September 23, 1904. The families returned to the US. The John Calvin Dyer's lived in Seattle, Washington and the Thomas A Anderson's lived in Clovis, New Mexico. By 1910 Thomas A Anderson divorced Josie, left the family, and was living in Amarillo, Texas running his own pool hall. He apparently followed the family to California, was arrested in Santa Clara County for first degree burglary, and spent May 1914 to January 1916 in San Quentin Prison, Marin County, California. His subsequent history is unknown.
