John S. "Pete" Dzurilla, 88, of West Mifflin, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at home. He was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Marguerite, a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Gabron) Dzurilla. John
proudly served aboard the U.S.S. Miami in the Pacific Fleet. He retired from U.S. Steel Homestead Works after 42 years of service and also worked in the inspection department at the
160 inch mill. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, in Duquesne. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Janet M. (Greaves) Dzurilla; father of Christine (Damien) Michaels Sr., of
Elizabeth Township, Regis (Joyce) Dzurilla, of Irwin, and Steven Dzurilla, of Pittsburgh; grandfather of Damien (Denise) Michaels Jr., Meridith (Shawn) Paterson, Corey (Jaime)
Michaels, and Jason, Kiefer and Aubree Dzueilla; great-grandfather of D.J., Melissa and Abigail Michaels, Colin and Gavin Paterson and Courtney and Mason Michaels; and brother of
Ann Relosky, of North Huntington, formerly of Donora, Marie Dzurilla, of Uniontown, and the late Stephen Dzurilla Jr., of West Virginia.
