David W. Eads, born October 7, 1930 in Muscatine, IA, passed away January 11, 2009 at his Aurora home.

Dave passed away with immediate family at his bedside. He was a longtime resident of Aurora.

David graduated in 1949 from East Aurora High School, where he excelled in Football. He then attended Iowa State University on a football scholarship.

He had a strong passion for his family, books and jazz music. David was a prolific painter and doodler. He was well known for his artwork and legendary garage sales.

Beloved husband of 59 years to Carol (nee Mattison); loving father of David (Deni) Eads of Warrenville, IL, Steven Eads of Menlo Park, CA, Susan Johnson of Aurora, IL, Denice Eads of St. Charles, IL, and Deena (Mike) Baker of Aurora, IL; proud grandfather of Andrea (Randy) Payne, Kelly Johnson Michelle Johnson, Benjamin Eads, James Eads, Timothy Eads, Nicole and Natalie Baker; great-grandfather of Brenden and Nathan Payne.

The family would like to thank the angels at CNS Home Healthcare and Hospice, Dr. Sapyta, his longtime friends and neighbors on Elliot Ave., all the clerks at the Salvation Army Store-Montgomery and the people at the Village Discount Store-Aurora.

A private remembrance was held by family members.
