Born in Sydney she was the daughter of the late Edward and Evlyn (Todd) Eagles.

Amanda is survived by her devoted husband Dave, daughter Julia, son Matthew, father-in- law Blaine, mother-in- law Judith Cleveland, and sister- in- law Susan Allaby. She is also survived by an extended family and numerous friends who adored her.

Amanda was a devoted mother who would do anything for her children. She spent many hours caring for them, helping with homework and ensuring their needs were surpassed. Her desire to be able to stay home led her to start several home based businesses to allow her to be there for them. Her love extended to children of the community through her afterschool program, "Little Fish". Amanda also cared for many sick and abandoned animals over the years and was affectionately known as the crazy cat lady.

Amanda was a dedicated community minded person with a "can do" attitude. She poured her heart and soul into every project she undertook. Her passion could be seen and felt in everything she touched. When the school library program was cut she took it over spending countless hours organizing, staffing and reading to children. When she didn't like the front gardens at the school she tore it all up and spent days making it look beautiful. She chaired the Relay For Life committee and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Canadian Cancer Society. She volunteered for Girl Guides in various capacities for almost 20 years. She was a consummate planner who loved to organize parties and entertain her friends and family. She loved fine food, music and could dance like no one else. Amanda was always game for anything. She had boundless energy and her spontaneous zest for life was infectious.

Amanda was a devoted daughter who spent over 10 years caring for her mother during her battle with Alzheimers and her father who leaned on her for support all the while raising her young family.

Amanda gave her love to so many friends, her circle was large. She would always be there with an ear, kind words and support. She paid attention to the little things that mean so much. This was evident through her illness as an entire network of people were there to support her with meals, drives and love. Throughout her illness she was a pillar of strength, courage, and dignity.
