Daughter -in - Law of Edison Passes
Wilmington, Del., Jan. 4 - Mrs. Blanche Travers Edison, daughter-in-law of the late Inventor Thomas A. Edison, died yesterday at her Westover Hills, Del., home following an illness of 17 months.
Mrs. Edison was a native of Scranton, PA., and was a daughter of the late Dr. Edward Travers, prominent physician and surgeon. Her husband William L. Edison, died nine years ago.
She was a great-granddaughter of Edward Fowler, famous land and slave owner of the Maryland eastern shore section, and was related to prominent families on the Maryland peninsula.
