She was born May 6, 1938, to Paul and Thelma (Wilson) Edwards Sr. She married Bill Allen on March 31, 1957, in Pawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Ember Allen.
Jeri was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Divernon. She enjoyed quilting and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; a son, Dennis (Laura) Allen of Ashland; a daughter, Kendra (Jeff) Fabish of Springfield; five grandchildren, Michael, Sierra "Sis", Adam, Caleb and Mikaila "Sis"; a brother, Paul Edwards Jr. of Jacksonville; two sisters, Norma Green of Pawnee and Cellie Howard of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from noon until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastors Thomas D. Shirley, Bill Edwards and Dan Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Buckhart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 314, Divernon, IL 62530.
