Myrtle L. Apple Of Shattuc Dies

SHATTUC - Mrs. Myrtle L. Apple, 61, Shattuc area resident her entire life, died yesterday at the St. Joseph-Clinton County Hospital in Breese.

She was born in Boulder, the daughter of Henry and Lizzie (Dieckman) Edwards. She married Sheldon Apple in 1930 at Carlyle.

Survivors are her husband, Sheldon; a son, Robert of Wentzville, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Nave of Carlyle; seven brothers, Leonard, Leo, Abraham and William, all of the Carlyle area, and Clarence, Mursey and Howard, of the Shattuc area; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church at Shattuc, Rev. Lawrence Becker officiating. Burial will be in Pritchett Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Zieren-Day Funeral Home in Carlyle after 2:30 p.m. today to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow and at the church after noon Tuesday.
