Homemaker Geri Cardoza Elliott, 76 years of age, went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2009. Geri was born in Tulare, California on September 25, 1932 to Pedro and Mary Cardoza.
She was a long time resident of Visalia. Geri had one daughter, one granddaughter, two sisters, and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Pedro and Mary Cardoza along with two brothers, John Cardoza and Gill Cardoza.
She is survived by her daughter, Deana Johnson and her husband Jim, her granddaughter Jessica Johnson, her sisters Elvera Correia and Beverly Ross, her brother David Cardoza, and many nieces and nephews.
Geri enjoyed reading, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She, also, treasured her friends and neighbors at Oak Meadows. Geri loved Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and will be best remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel in Visalia.
Memorial service will be held noon Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the chapel.
Burial will be held at Visalia District Cemetery following the memorial service.
