Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. David Engbarth officiating at McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home in Oswego. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral Home.
Mrs. Dixon was born March 2, 1920, in Highland Park, N.J., to Edwin F. and Anna (Ternyila) Ellison. She married George E. Dixon March 22, 1941, in Highland Park.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Aurora. She worked at First National Bank of Ottawa for several years, was a member of the Ottawa Women's Club and served as a tour director in Florida. She dearly loved being with her family, domestic and foreign travel and casinos.
She is survived by a son, Edward E. (Judith) Dixon of Montgomery; two granddaughters, Becky Locke and Cheri (Jason) Tate; three grandsons, Norman Dean and Leonard (Candi) Dixon and George Morrison; 10 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Muriel Markano of Highland Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Dixon; a daughter, Gayle Navajar; a grandson, Edward E. Dixon Jr.; two granddaughters, Beth Morrison and Shannon Griffin; and a sister, Myrtle Walker.
