She married William D. Currie in 1972. He died July 12, 2008.
She was a technician with Women, Infant and Children Agency. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Guild with Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Childers of Peoria, Ariz., Cindy Chelich of Hobart, Ind., and Staci McCarthy of Oviedo, Fla.; six sons, Johnnie Patterson of Baycliff, Texas, William Patterson of Lake Station, Ind., Ray Patterson of Rainbow City, Ala., Robert Patterson of Portersville, Dale Currie of Tulsa, Okla., and William Currie of New Castle; a brother, Ron Emerson of Valparaiso; two sisters, Patty Blevins of Tennessee and Caroline Rudolph of Kouts, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and a brother.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev.
